Ofsted Report
Children show their enthusiasm when they arrive at nursery. They wave goodbye to their parents and smile with confidence as staff and their friends welcome them in. They respond well to the focused attention and quickly join in with the activities. Staff plan the environment well with interesting creative play both indoors and outdoors.

Parent Review
The staff are friendly, caring, and keep us updated with regular messages and photos, which we really appreciate. They also pay attention to each child’s needs, which gives us confidence that he’s in good hands.
The nursery is safe and well-run, and they offer healthy meals. The space is always clean and has lots of fun and creative areas for the kids to explore.

Parent Review
Our son has been with Little Raccoons Day Nursery for 1.5 years and every day he runs in, happy to be there, and every day he's excited to come home and tell us what he's been doing (and eating)! He's developed so well in the time that he's been at the nursery, and I attribute that to the wonderfulstaff, who are always finding creative ways to engage the children and teach them about life.

Funded hours
Extra charges explained
We offer both 15‑hour and 30‑hour government‑funded childcare at our nurseries. Children aged 9 months to 3 years may be eligible for the Working Families 30‑hour entitlement. All children aged 3 and above are entitled to 15 hours per week, and eligible working parents can access up to 30 hours per week. For full details on eligibility and how to claim, please visit www.beststartinlife.gov.uk.
Please note that we do not offer the Early Learning 2‑year‑old entitlement.
As we are a full‑year nursery and not term‑time only, all funding is stretched over 52 weeks. This means:
30 hours funding = 22 hours per week
15 hours funding = 11 hours per week
We do not offer term‑time funded hours over 38 weeks.
All funded hours are available across both 11‑hour and 22‑hour entitlements. These hours are completely free of charge, with no fees applied to the funded time. Funded hours are delivered in continuous blocks with no charges applied for breaks.
Families can access fully funded hours in the following ways:
11 hours funding:
1 preschool day (7 hours), or
2 AM or 2 PM sessions (10 hours)
22 hours funding:
3 preschool days (21 hours), or
4 AM or 4 PM sessions (20 hours)
If there is a shortfall in hours, parents may choose to use the remaining hours at another nursery.
Funded hours can be taken as full days, preschool days, or AM/PM sessions, and families may choose any combination of these.
Charges for Little Raccoons Holloway (Funded Hours Only)
Children aged 9 months to 3 years:
There is a weekly Consumables Charge of £16.50, which includes:
£6.50 for Lunch
£4.50 for Tea
£5.50 for extracurricular activities such as outdoor walks, library visits, gardening, cooking, music sessions, sensory activities, special events, and seasonal celebrations (Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc.)
This charge is applied per week, not per funded day.

Children aged 3 years and over:
Food charges apply as follows:
£6.50 per day for Lunch (includes breakfast, morning snacks, lunch, and dessert)

These charges apply per day attended. For example:
